Sigga Sigurdardottir joined Banco Santander in September 2015 as Chief Customer and Innovation officer for Santander UK. Sigga, who forms part of the Country Executive committee, is responsible for designing a customer centric bank of the future through rapid prototyping of new mobile first business models. She leads the digital re-invention roadmap putting the customer at the centre, partnering with the start-up, digital and fin-tech community and building an agile innovation environment within the bank.
Sigga joined from American Express where she was responsible for leading digital and business transformation of numerous businesses across the organization globally. She has a strong track record for driving a start-up culture, working in an agile marketing and technology environment promoting continuous innovation and change.
